There is that saying “youth is wasted on the young”? I sure wouldn’t want to be a teenager again. Remember how a zit in the middle of your face at an inopportune time could send you into the depths of emotional distress. My daughter, bless her heart, would completely freak out if I came back from the store and the ham wasn’t chipped fine enough. Nope, except for the inevitable aches and pains, I like being more mature. At 15, 20, 25 we were all overly concerned about what other people thought. Heck that zit in the middle of your forehead wasn’t hurting you. You were worried about how it looked to everyone else. I like where I am now. I will admit that sometimes I feel a bit squashed in the middle of the sandwich between aging parents, kids and grandkids but I’m happy. I’ve been through the wars and survived. I’ve raised three great kids, been through divorce, came through on the other side and learned to love and trust again. It takes a lot of life experience to really appreciate what you have. So, is youth wasted on the young? No, I don’t think so. I wouldn’t go back. I know there are challenges ahead but I know I can deal with them. These days, I’m a lot more comfortable in my own skin. Just wish it wasn’t so baggy!
hahahah. xo
hahahah again…obviously I have gotten so old, I can’t find the right letters on the keyboard!!! Have a great day Kathy. Love you. Tina
Amen!
Me too! I agree.
Well, maybe, but there are times I would gladly exchange an achy joint for a zit. At least you know the zit will eventually go away!
you have a point there!
