I can’t take credit for this tip. I was talking to a friend the other day about diets. Ok, what’s new about that. Women talking diet tips is nothing special. Ahhh, but the tip she gave me was. I’ve done the whole writing down everything you eat. And it works till you stop writing everything down. I’ve tried counting EVERY calorie. And it works till you think you have formed good habits and stop counting. My friend Kate’s tip (yes another Kate) was a site called www.myfitnesspal.com. You can set it up on your home computer AND download the ap for your smart phone. They will sync with each other . . . oh the joy of technology. Anyhow, instead of having to look up the calories, carbs etc. of each an every food or drink, this lovely little app lets you track all that “stuff” easily. You plug in the dish and it gives you all the info and ads it to your food diary. My only suggestion would be don’t log on with Facebook and go into the profile privacy settings and if you don’t want anyone else to have access to your profile and information set it so that only you can see it. You can plug your exercise into this and it will calculate the calories burned. This is so good. So if you see me out and about, in a restaurant, with my phone . . . I’m not being rude . . . just checking calories.
