Looking for things to do?

The weather was beautiful today but . . . . the next few days forecast shows some thunderstorms. If you are looking for things to do you don’t have to look much further than your own back door. Bucks County is rich in museums, theaters and activities.

The County Theater is Doylestown is a prime example. The schedule of upcoming films is a very eclectic mix. There is a coming of age film (rated PG13) THE WAY WAY BACK, as well as a poignant (rated R) film called FRUITVALE STATION that won Grand Jury and Audience awards for dramatic feature at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival. If you are a classic film buff you may like THUNDERBALL or perhaps ANIMAL CRACKERS.

Check out their web page for more information at: http://www.countytheater.org/

If museums are your thing Doylestown is lucky to have the James A. Michener Art Museum. The permanent collections are a wonderful mix of Pennsylvania Impressionist Art, Studio Craft, Modernist and Contemporary Expressions and the Nakashima Reading Room. There are family activities as well as classes for the kids.

More information is available at: http://www.michenermuseum.org/

If you are more of the adventure type maybe you would like to learn rock climbing . . . or send the kids to learn rock climbing. Doylestown Rock Gym is on Old Easton Road. They have activities for adults and kids.
